Big Thief: Live from Paris, two new songs…
Beautiful video from Paris curtesy of NPR and La Blogothèque and published on ARTE.

I love this band. I’ll be going to see them on Tuesday, April 24th at the Bluebird Theater in Denver.

RYAN ADAMS: EXILE ON BOURBON ST. MAY 5 at 9 PM CT / SAENGER THEATRE, NOLA
Oh Yeah, can’t wait for New Orleans and can’t wait for this show. I will definitely be posting some songs from this show!

One of the top shows of the year so far! From start to finish Lucius and they’re band were completely inspired. There wasn’t a drop off at any time in their vocals, the instrumentation or the sound. Here’s some pretty good recordings from the show. I think my favorite from the night was True Love Will Find You In The End (Daniel Johnson cover) into “Two Of Us On The Road”. Check out Daniel Johnson’s Story (wiki) on this link and here’s the Daniel Johnson web page.

I did buy the “signed” vinyl for their new album “Naked“, woo hoo!

Although the sound wasn’t perfect the show was very close to being perfect. They’re acoustic guitar had an awful “buzz” the entire show but we (Morgan Young) and I still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Shovels and Rope have a new album out “Busted Jukebox Vol. 2”. Gonna go and get it on vinyl @ Bart’s in Boulder. It features one of my favorite female vocalist, Nicole Atkins, a GIRLIE artist.
A couple of OK recordings from the show…
Box Car
A Brand New Song (not the title but a new song not released yet without a title that I know of)
1st song is “Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues” she ended the show with this . Recording isn’t great so I added one from Salt Lake City here: Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues (Mclusky cover)
2nd song is Hate and Control.
Lucius “Eventually” Tame Impala Cover
Just bought tickets to see Lucius at the Boulder Theater. Lucius: An Intimate Acoustic Show. Eventually, one of my favorite Tame Impala songs is beautifully covered by Lucius. Can’t wait to see them in March!

Frank Ocean’s version of Moon River just dropped last night. Take a listen.
Have to admit, I really love this Andy Williams’ verion. What a voice.
Roky Erickson: Night of the Vampire
Lee Scratch Perry / Sinead O’Connor: Vampire
The Arcade Fire: Vampire/forest fire
The Magnetic Fields: I Have The Moon
Bad Brains: Fearless Vampire Killers
Circle Jerks: Casualty Vampires
Dark Shadows Soundtrack: Theme
Radiohead: We Suck Young Blood
OK, so my head is still attached to my body but it almost exploded last night with the joy of seeing Connor Oberst at his absolute best. I love the way Connor writes songs and I was especially impressed with his 2016 album “Ruminations“. A simple album of Connor with his piano, guitar and harmonica. Ruminations is full of emotion just like the show at the Boulder Theater. He has an exceptional supporting band that rocked Boulder all night long. Here’s some of my favorites from the show…
Four Winds (so happy he played this one)
10 Women
Till St. Dymphna Kicks Us Out (from Ruminations)
Something Vague
Poison Oak
A Little Uncanny (Ruminations)
Encore, Train (Trump Rant) Roosevelt
Setlist from the show in Boulder on June 9th. Here’s a couple of songs from the show…
